The present invention relates to a device and a method for the removal of floor coverings according to the preambles of claims 1 and 6.
In EP 2 128 340 A1 a method and a device for the removal of floor coverings is presented which allow grooves to be milled into the floor covering to a depth of 40 mm and enable the complete removal of the floor covering up to this depth becomes. Experience has shown that, depending on the material and resistance of the floor covering, even at shallow depths, a device that weighs less than 500 kg, i.e. is easy to transport, can no longer be moved with the drive of the wheels because the wheels do not have enough traction. This is a problem in particular with larger milling depths of over 20-25 mm up to 50 mm.
In order to maintain the maneuverability and accuracy of the device and to achieve greater ablation depths, improvements in traction, for example by increasing weight and / or changing the traction surface, are only possible to a limited extent or such changes lead to the device becoming unwieldy and is no longer easy to maneuver.
The present invention now has the task of improving a device and a method of the type mentioned in such a way that the advantages of the known devices and methods for removing floor coverings are retained, but the device remains easy to maneuver and for deeper erosions suitable is.
This object is achieved by a device for removing floor coverings with the features of claim 1 and a corresponding method according to claim 6. Further features and exemplary embodiments emerge from the dependent claims and their advantages are explained in the following description.

The device according to the invention consists of a base frame (1) which can be guided with the help of a drawbar (2). Front and rear wheels (71, 72) are attached to the base frame (1) and define a drive plane (77) on which they lie. At least one guide (17) with at least one guide wheel (7) is also attached to the base frame (1). A housing (5) containing a tool (10) for removing soil material is also attached to the base frame (1), the height of the housing (5) being adjustable on at least one side with respect to the base frame (1). The motor (8) for rotating the tool (10) is attached to the housing (5) so that a shaft mounted on both sides in the housing can be driven via belt drives. The tool (10) is connected to this shaft and can thus be made to rotate. Ideally, the tool (10) is equipped with cutting edges or milling cutters which are attached to the shaft. Also connected to the motor (8) is a drive (9), which in turn drives the wheels (71, 72) to enable the device to move forwards and backwards. A hydraulic pump or an electronic drive, for example, can be used as the drive (9).
In the driving position as shown in Fig. 1, the guide wheel (7) is in a position so that the front wheels (72) are not in contact with the ground, or the guide wheel (7) under the drive plane (77 ) protrudes. The housing (5) is also in the uppermost position so that the tool (10) does not protrude below. In this way, the device can be driven to the desired work location with the drive of the rear wheels (71) and on the guide wheel (7). In order to obtain better maneuverability, the guide wheel (7) can be rotatably mounted in the guide (17).
In a preferred embodiment, the drive of the front wheels (72) can be switched off in this position. This can either be achieved by a distributor after the drive (9), or it is also possible to use two hydraulic pumps for the front and rear wheels (71, 72).
In the variant with several guides (17) and / or several guide wheels (7), these can be arranged to reduce the load on a guide wheel, for example, on both sides of the front wheels (72), or even three or more Guide wheels may be present so that the entire device can be raised in such a way that the rear wheels (71) are only in contact with the ground so that the drive is sufficient for moving the device to the work site.
As soon as the work site is reached, the guide wheels (7) are removed or moved in the guides (17) up into the working position, so that now the front wheels (72) are in contact with the ground and the guide wheels (7 ) no longer have contact with the ground. The drive plane (77) now coincides with the soil to be removed and the guide wheels (7) are located completely above this drive plane (77). As can be seen in Fig. 2, the housing (5) is still in the uppermost position, so that the drive of the shaft with the tool (10) can be switched on without resistance. If the housing (5) is now lowered, the milling machine begins to remove the floor covering until the desired milling depth is reached. 3 and 4 show two different sinking depths of the housing (5), with which different milling depths can be achieved.
Now, with the help of the drive of the rear (71) and front wheels (72), the latter having to be switched on depending on the variant, the device can be moved forward so that the floor covering is removed as desired.
In order to achieve large milling depths it is provided that the housing (5) and thus also the shaft between the zero position in which the tool touches the floor covering and the greatest sinking depth can be lowered more than 30 mm to 50 mm, so that the lowest point of the cutting or milling is more than 30 mm below the drive level (77).
In the method according to the invention for removing floor coverings with this device, this is moved in the driving position (FIG. 1) to the work site or the site to be processed. This movement takes place with the help of the drive of the rear wheels (71) and on the guide wheels (7). At the work site, the guide wheels (7) are brought into the working position so that the front wheels (72) are also in contact with the ground and the drive plane (77) coincides with the ground. After switching on the drive of the tool (10), the housing (5) is lowered to the desired removal depth. With the help of the drive of the front (72) and rear (71) wheels, the device is now moved and the floor covering is removed to the desired depth in one operation.
In a further embodiment of the method, the drive of the front wheels (72) is only switched on when the working position is reached, or after lowering the housing (5) the movement of the device begins.
